Hearing tests seeing patients for repairs queries etc health checks of ears. Getting medical history from patients and referring on to other departments if needed. Performing tests for the ears nose and throat department to allow them to carry on with any investigations they need to perform. Also admin duties like appointment booking phone answering etc
I started hearing care privately. Came to the NHS and have really developed my skills. I have gained so much experience not just for my career but also for me As a person and developed skills that can be used throughout life skills I will use for years to come.
The program is very exciting. I get to learn the theory from university but also learn from my colleagues who have been in the job for many years. This way I get a mixture of new and old knowledge which will help me throughout my career and beyond. The university is also very organised.
Very organised and structured. I have learnt so much and have found the mixture of work and practical to be easy,
I received a lot of support from everyone. I have two supervisors who are amazing and the rest of my department who will help me with no matter what I need. Everything is so much easier with the support of my department and fellow colleagues. I also know that if I needed help I could ask and I would get help.
The university are very helpful I can contact the lecturers or the LDC and get one to one help if I need it.
It has given me so much more knowledge to help me along with my career.
