My main day-to-day job role is to run the forecast reports for multiple teams at the company. The teams include the Aruba Public sector team and the Aruba Inside sales team. I spend the majority of the day preparing the CRM we use to make sure the data on the report is as accurate as possible. I also help qualify opportunities with partners
The main skills I have learnt since starting my apprenticeship at HPE is how to use Excel. Before starting my role I had little to no experience working with excel so I found it difficult to use. As my role uses excel I had to learn how to use it effectively by working with senior employees
I have really enjoyed my programme. As we have been working during the Covid pandemic I would have liked to had classroom sessions outside of the office. But in understand why we cannot. The online sessions have been enjoyable. they were very interactive and the tutors have been very approachable which has helped massivley
The programme has been very organised. The tutors have set up the meeting rooms with plenty of notice in advance. HPE has also helped keep my work/study balance by allocating a study day each week where I can focus on my programme and not my job role. this has helped massively.
HPE has been very supportive of the apprenticeship programme. They have allocated a study day once a week where I only work on my apprenticeship project. This has helped me stay productive over the programme. My manager has also set up weekly catch up calls in which i discuss my progress on the programme
The apprenticeship provider has been very supportive all throughout the duration of the program. the Tutors have been very supportive when teaching the classroom sessions. They have also hosted regular catch up calls where we talk about my progress. what im doing well and what i can do to progress further.
The apprenticeship lessons have taught me the right skills to help me succeed in my job role. They have been very relevant. They were also taught at the right pace which has helped me take all the information in which can be used in my day to day job role
As we have been working during the Covid pandemic extracurricular outside of the office has been non-existence. before remote working, there was a small-sided football team that would meet weekly to play. At the moment we have been holding weekly team meetings and have frequent networking events with other teams
Yes
HPE has been a great company to work for over the duration of my apprenticehsip. They have treated every employee in the early careers well as they have also held the early careers program which was helped with the process of the program. Working for HPE also great benefits working from them
The main advice I would give to others who are looking at applying to work at HPE is to network as much as possible inside the team and in other business units. Networking with partners and distributors is also important as a close working relationship with them is just as important as working with HPE employees
