  • My role as an early years apprentice is to support the children’s well being and development as best as I can. Assisting other staff, and leading activities independently.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • During my apprenticeship I have learnt various different skills to use in childcare regarding different activities to do to support a child in different areas of development. I have also learnt how to assess and review children’s development against the EYFS framework

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my course as it enables me to learn and work at the same time and this is very beneficial for me

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My apprenticeship is very well organised, all of my work is organised via smart assessor and I have regular zoom calls with my assessor

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I support regular support from my management team, when in office time I can given the opportunity to complete any work that I may need to. I can regularly complete observations on children or if I need to be observed by other members of staff they are always happy to help

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive endless support whenever I may need it from my training provider in particular my assessor, I can text or email her and will receive a response as soon as possible and can always call her if I have a problem

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Having a qualification will enable me to be an early years practitioner which will enable me to develop in my role. And perhaps take on new roles in the setting
