  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am involved within two teams in the supply chain function. Purchasing and contracts & repair and data integrity. Daily I will be liaising with suppliers such as boeing and challenging them against contract queries which we may have. I am also undertaking a data cleansing project in which I am clearing historical files from the internal system to improve usage.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy the culture of TUI and the support which we recieve from not only our direct managers but senior managers across the business. All teams I have been part of have been welcoming and supported me with anything I have needed. I have had the oppertunity to travel with this job which has been a huge bonus.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I fell the programme was well organised in the beginning from the apprenticeship and university side but found management were not aware of what programme I was studying which caused issues. I feel overall the programme could be better tailored to the individuals and feedback should be actioned and not just welcomed.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have found my line managers to be very supportive during my different roles across the business. They have given me oppertunities to complete additional tasks within the role in order to achieve apprenticeship criteria and assist with my univerisity studies. The general business attitude towards the apprenticeship is good.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel like support from the university is limited and can be difficult to get hold of lectures once we have completed a learning week. Communication is very slim at times which can be challenging. The content provided within the learning weeks is thourgh enough that support can not be required.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have been able to apply multiple of my learnings to my day to day role and also this has allowed me to understand and have a better knowledge of things prior to being trained. This has abled me to feel more comfortable within my roles which ive had across the business.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • YES! TUI is fantastic for this. Multiple oppertunities to get involved in clubs across the business. Learning weeks allow for professional netwroking across the wider business and within individual teams they also provide building sessions which can be done in multiple different ways. Conferences are also held which are busness related but also fun

  • 9a. Would you recommend TUI UK & Ireland to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Great place to work as a whole - multiple oppertunities to progress not only within the UK but across the globe. Tui are great for training their individuals and ensuring that people progress if and when they want by providing as much support as possible. The culture is also great to work in.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
  • Make sure you know the business and what it is about - contact someone internally to get additional information if you can. Do things to make yourself stand out from the other applicants. Ensure you dress smart for any assessment days. I would have liked to have been told to relax
