  • Working on the fibre network out in the field, rodding and roping ducts plus pulling in cables, installing mobra brackets/frames in junction boxes.

  • learned a whole bunch of new skills including: rodding techniques, installing fibre network equipment, lifting junction box covers safely, setting up workspaces.

  • I have been enjoying learning about the fibre network and look forward to continue developing my skills and knowledge.

  • From my experience it has been well organised/structured with no issues to report

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have received great support especially as I reported that I have been diagnosed with dyslexia. Even though I have not needed the extra help it's good to know that it is available to me.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I've had lots of support when working towards my apprenticeship in regards to my qualifications.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I understand the need for my apprenticeship which will give me the skills to get an engineer qualification.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • None as of yet so far due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

  • Yes

  • So far Openreach has been a really supportive company to work for with lots of opportunities for progression.

  • On the video interview, practice your replies and just try to answer the questions as clear as possible.
