  • Apprentice nurse associate, support registered nurse to provide high quality care to elderly patients in the community involve shadowing, writing assignment, blended learning, practical clinical duties, webinars meetings, handover sessions, placements, actively involved in health promotion projects.

  • I have learnt new skills and developing existing skills too.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I feel luck to be able to study apprentice course as it has given a chance to upgrade myself whilst working full time. I have waited all my life for this journey, I am very grateful that I have been sponsored I would have not managed it on my own.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course has knowledgeable lecturers and support to student is provided across every corner of the university no matter who you contact. It is well structured and easy to follow despite other challenges.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • They ensure all my learning needs are met arranging placements, organising extra trainings to help me achieve my standards Proficiencies.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have very good supportive lectures they all have different styles of teaching and providing course materials, again as adult learners they ensure we take control of our time management and planning for our assignments. They provide variety modules articles, online materials to support us achieve our goals.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am more confident to meet various tasks and more fluent in effective communicate within my team and multidisciplinary teams. Patients have given me more positive feedback in various placement I have been to and this gives more empowerment to keep going in my career.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I have registered with other health care training providers within National Health Service to up skill myself and get involved in charity organisations (HIV programs) and health promotion to support some of our patients who are experiencing homelessness.

  • CLCH is a friendly trust that treats every individual with dignity and respect. I have been grateful to be part of the community. They have given me a chance to be a professional healthcare once I complete my training and be on the register with NMC.

  • Go for it do not hesitate.
