  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really do enjoy the programme that BT has provided for us, I am able to work with a wide range of apprentices who are keen and have a desire to maintain the BT network. I enjoy the opportunities that are offered to me and the perks that are available.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • There is a fair bit of confusion at times but I would say that the programme is structured fairly well. We participate in university 1 days a week and 4 days a week we are working on the job - which is working well for the apprenticeship. Our apprentice coach helps organise and structure our apprenticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider is very poor. The university lectures are very unorganised, I rate the quality of teaching very poor and feel like I have to teach myself all of the curriculum myself. Their training weeks leave me with major gaps in knowledge that makes it harder for me to pick up and learn myself.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Not a lot. I am yet to use any of the knowledge that I have learnt through my training provider in my role. I believe the work does not correlate very well and it can sometimes be seen as a poor use of time. I have learnt more from the role than through the qualification.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a lot of social activities that I am able to go to, not as such recently due to the covid pandemic. I am involved in a football sports team through work which I enjoy a lot. We also have a Christmas event where we go for a meal and celebrate.
