  • I work in big data management. Currently working on making a service to mange large amounts of data. Work also includes parsing, further manipulation and graphing of data.

  • Increased Java knowledge Docker Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana Cloudera Manager A little of Javascript, HTML and PHP General software engineering knowledge

  • I enjoy all of the work I am given as well as working with the people in and around my team

  • Pretty well. I feel the bands they use for pay restrict growth without going into managerial roles though

  • My employer gives me everything I need to succeed as well as going out of their way to find me day to day work that will support my studies

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • They are generally pretty good. Sometimes the learning can be a bit dull but they do their best

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Only some aspects of it help me to perform. Most of it is generic knowledge that should help me at some point but not now.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes. I started playing football, bouldering and going to the gym. There is also a fishing club that I am on the waiting list for. We reguarly go out for drinks or meals.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They are generally pretty good. Communication form higher ups in the company could be improved

  • Just go for it.
