  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in the cash allocation team. My day would start with looking at the transfer files and bank statement and allocating any unmatched payments to the correct accounts. I then look at credit card payments and cheques and ensure that there is no unallocated cash on a customer account.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned a lot of new skills in this job role as I analyse the bank statements and also have learned how to investigate any missing payments or accounts that are hard to find.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love the job that I am in as I have a good relationship with my team and also a really close relationship with the other apprentices who I started with. This makes going to work really enjoyable

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My course is really well organised. I sit AAT exams regularly to be able to gain my qualification and I always have a clear idea of what I need to do and where abouts my progress is and what will happen next.

  • I receive a lot of support from my employer and if I am struggling with anything I know I can ask and I will always get the help that I need.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I also receive a lot of support from the college as I am in class every week and I can always ask questions and get the answers that I am looking for. They give a lot of feedback to help me achieve the best results I can

  • My qualification helps me a lot in my role as I am learning accounting in college and it helps me understand why we do what we do in Finance rather than just doing the job its self.

  • Prior to covid there were extra curricular activities to get involved in.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I believe that Sage is an employer that care about their staff and they offer so much support within the time I have been completing my apprenticeship. We do fun teambuilding things and it is a friendly place to work.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage?
  • To be yourself and to show off your personality as I think this is something Sage really value in people.
