  • My day to day role involves installation of telephone and broadband services, faulting and repair of telephone services, my role primarily involves outdoor working on the copper and fibre telecommunications network.

  • I have learnt many new skills, I had no previous experience in telecommunications and have learnt all f the skills required for my role from scratch.

  • I enjoy everything about my programme, it is interesting, rewarding and I feel very privileged to have been accepted on the programme.

  • My programme is very well organised and structured which has helped me to learn at a very good pace.

  • I receive a fair amount of support from my employer, leave is granted for study and workshop days.

  • I receive a fair amount of support from my training provider when working towards my qualification, workshops have been very helpful and my assessor is very knowledgable and helpful.

  • My qualification gives me the knowledge, confidence and skills to perform better in my role.

  • I would definitely recommend Openreach to a friend, Openreach have provided me with an opportunity to fulfil a career in engineering and have been very supportive on my journey so far, the job is interesting, enjoyable and rewarding.

  • I would advise anyone considering a career with Openreach to apply for a role, Openreach are a very good employer, they are supportive, job roles are endless and the job is very rewarding.
