  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • An overall of my job would include searching for roles and projects to be apart of, creating and improving an internal CV, having weekly or daily calls and learning new skills. Responsibilities would include taking it upon yourself to learn new things you think would be useful such as Ive expanded knowledge on Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visor, Project planner, coding and general business skills such as different ways of working e.g Agile and Waterfall method which I never knew before.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes! Ive learnt the basics of coding, which I never knew anything about before, how to create process models, how to create a website from scratch! I know the learning will continue and i'm excited for the future. Some applications that are useful to know and ive expanded knowledge on are Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visor, Project planner. Since joining Accenture ive learnt how to complete a interview successfully and adapt to different environments and its been great.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Ive really enjoyed meeting new people and learning new things, Accenture is in the heart of London and working in the adult business world is a lot of fun and exciting! The culture of Accenture is varied which makes your experience even better because of all the diversity, there are many socials, especially when you first join, Accenture is strong on everyone getting to know each other specifically each apprentice year from one to three.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The induction was very good as we learnt a lot about the company and what we would be involved in, training was hard but fun learning something new and it became very useful for our university course, the support varies but strengthened as time went on, studying was good as we had a lot of time. The interviews were also good as it varied, focussed on team work, working under pressure and individual problem solving

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Now I am on a project I receive a lot of support from different people however the first couple months on the bench was not amazing as we lacked a great deal of support and struggled massively to find a project however now more than ever the support is amazing, from my head of apprentices, line manager, peers and the HR team, overall I have indeed enjoyed my time at Accenture and do now receive the right support

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • It varies, they're not the best at replying to emails when we need immediate answers and they work quickly so often it is hard to keep up however re takes are available and they will help you pass with everything in their power, however there is a variety of courses such as maths in computing, building a website, the history behind computers and learning how they evolve, a business module, coursework and tests are available.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps a lot and there is a lot of correlation because something we learnt the beginning of the year is now used in my project, because there are so many different modules something will always come into help with any project you have, there is a variety of many and many different courses such as maths in computing, building a website, the history behind computers and learning how they evolve, a business module, coursework and tests are available.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes definitely! There are so many different activities you can be involved in and different teams such as sports, netball, football, tennis etc. At Accenture you are encouraged to join different teams and attend networking event. The word networking is very important as it helps you meet new people and this is also a good way of finding yourself a role, meeting new people is fun and exciting! The christmas party is the best event of the year

  • Yes

  • Yes definitley! Its helped me a lot and changed me into a new and improved person. Accenture was a brilliant choice for me, Ive always struggled at school with grades and Accenture welcomes anyone with the right attitude, ive had a lot of fun and learned more in a year than I ever had before and these are skills for life that will help me wherever my future takes me and im excited for what the future holds


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • To not give up and have fun! Make the most out of your time and take advantage of all the opportunities as some of them are rare opportunities you may not get again. The interviews are very important and its okay to be nervous, all of us were. Try your best and stand out, be confident but not cocky. The onboarding process is lengthy but needed! Dont be shy to ask for help, be honest and just be yourself
