  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the work I do and working with the people on my project as well as the people on my college course. Every day is fun.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • We are told about everything that is going on and given plenty of time to do our college work as well as our work for our job roles. For example, even though COVID-19 caused some disruption to our studies, we got an extension on all our deadlines.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • They understand that we are apprentices and might not have all the skills a trained worker has, so we can reach out to them whenever we need help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • One module this semester is object oriented programming, I believe this will help me a lot as it a fundamental part of programming that software engineers need to understand to make an efficient large product.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is a lot of stuff to get involved in all over the country. The cafe at my home office is an event space where a lot of events happen that everyone can attend.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It's a great place to work and very friendly. The work is exciting and everyone feels welcome.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • Make sure you have a true passion for technology, as the problems are difficult but if you enjoy technology and show it in the interview, you're chances of success are increased a lot. It's also good to have a couple of programming languages under your belt or a project in technology that you have contributed to. But it's not a must, especially if you're an apprentice. The company is looking for young creative minds and they are willing to take in apprentices that are not yet skilled in technology.
