  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprenticeship is organised very well, from time of arrival, breaks / lunch to meetings, with the use of a computer system it helps organise meetings and events well. There can be some issues of missing components but that is solved pretty quickly.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that with the current support I am getting and the work being completed, I feel like the support I am getting is making a major difference to my performance in practical and theory work. The practical work helps alot because you get the experience with the tools before hand.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At work we have a association setup and run by apprentices, they setup group events in and outside of work, help the community, charity and help run things at work to benefit others like the tuk shop at lunch and breaks. I myself am a part of the association and it is great to see people enjoying the activities we setup and run

  • 9a. Would you recommend AWE to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • One of the best apprenticeships I've ever seen. The benefits you get is amazing as well as the training. You get support in loads of areas. Another part I enjoy is the fact you are treated well and like adults. You aren't treated badly but are treated very nicely. But the best part I really like is after your apprenticeship you are automatically offered employment out on site, so there's no need to go looking for another job.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AWE?
  • Apply in plenty of time and make sure you do apply, you don't wanna miss the opportunities you can get at this apprenticeship.
