  • To revise for courses which I have to pass for the apprenticeship.

  • Yes, lots! Such as; Networking skills, Programming skills, ITIL, and currently learning about servers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it all the time, learning new things I find really interesting and fun!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is structured okay. It was a bit slow to begin with but it has got a lot better since.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot! If I ever need to request something for extra help for example I will get more support, its great.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I get over the Minimum support, as the company provides lots of resources for the qualifications. And great mentors for us apprentices to learn from.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think that, the qualification will help me perform better, as I will have some practical work done but know a lot of theory behind it all.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not that I know of. Well there is, but its outside of the company

  • 9a. Would you recommend AWE to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have been really enjoying it there now, I have had so much support through this apprenticeship and I now know which area I want my career to go in! thanks to AWE. They have great friendly staff and really look after you.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AWE?
  • Be honest, confident and show that you are willing to work for them as an employer. Also, bring ideas of how to improve things. Be friendly.
