  • At the moment we attend college full time Monday to Friday to gain our HNC and PEO in engineering practice.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have been taught a variety of skills, such as the theory behind different facets of engineer. Practical skills will be developed once we arrive on site.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I think the program has been a great experience. I have been taught so many new skills and my confidence has improved.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program has clear deadlines for when tasks have to be completed each year.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We have continued to receive support from out line manager through the during of being in college which has helped us stay current with GSK news.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Our training provider has been quite disorganised unfortunately as there have been issues with staffing.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I would say that my qualification helps me understand the terminology needed to better skills in the workplace. It has also helped me to learn the basic skills needed when doing practical work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there have been numerous team building events organised as well as volunteering opportunities presented in our work.

  • Yes

  • It has been the best employer I have ever had. They support you throughout your journey to gain personal and work milestones that you aspire to. They have a great network and the benefits have been great.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to GSK?
  • Be open and honest with others. Put your best self forward whilst showing respect to your peers. Prepare everything that you have been asked to do and practice. Be humble and never be afraid to ask for help.
