my day to day roles will be different each day depending on what the job is. some jobs we will put the correct PPE down and then prep the room or area that we are working on then we will first coat the area by cutting in then rolling them.
i have improved on some skills and learnt new skills like how to prep the work surface correctly and i have improved on my brush skills like when cutting in also the use of rubbing down and filling any areas. i have learnt the different types of equipment we use
i have enjoyed the program to a degree like learning new skills and knowledge on the subject however there are some areas on the program i have not enjoyed like when going to use collage equipment that has been damage or ruined by the people that has used them before
the time spent on the program is equally split in to practical sessions and theory session to give us time to improve on are painting and decorating skills and to learn the knowledge and qualification need for the course and to make sure were not getting bored learning the same thing
I receive as much support as I need from the employer like help in demos and instructions on how to preform a task if needed and if any question about where I'm working or what I need to do they will answer them at all times by phone, text or email.
I receive the correct amount of help from the training provider when working towards my qualifications like one to one support and demonstrations on how to do the task and what is needed to be done to complete the task or activity like when using our one file to do work
I feel that the qualification through the training provider will help me to perform better in my role at the work place because t will give me more knowledge on the subject and it will help improve my skills out side the work place so it gives me more chances to improve
the workplace hold a Christmas party every year where they all go to meet up and the work also holds online first aid course and other tests for the company. there is enough available for the company get togethers available to do at this moment in time with the company
Yes
I would recommend this company to my friends because this it is a nice company to work for because of the staff and mangers and they treat everyone with respect and it is a nice working environment to work in. I have enjoyed working for this company so far in time
make sure that you are willing to learn and progress in the respected trade and to be patient with it so make sure you stick with it for a while before deciding to quit if your not enjoying it because all the jobs are different some are good and some are more difficult
