  • Fibre jointer. Connecting new fibre cables together to form the new full fibre network across the country. Focusing on fibre to the premises

  • Many different courses, EUSR, street works, manual handling and lifting. How to use all health and safety equipment correctly. Drilling. Gas testing. Many more

  • Very much so. I’m given a brilliant opportunity and shown so many skills at no cost to me, allowing me to really excel in the company once trained.

  • Clear structure, multiple training centres with easy to follow schedules.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Always someone to contact both in the training sector and other managers.

  • They go at your pace and always answer any questions. Very helpful

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It gives me everything I need to do my job. I wouldn’t have a clue otherwise.

  • Plenty but I haven’t explored them.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They provide everything to you, nothing is out of pocket and they’re investing in your future with the company. It’s clearly a career for life


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • Don’t stress about the video interview, focus on what makes you the right person for the job as opposed to your qualifications - they can train your skills. They can’t train your personality or drive.
