  • electrician - working on the ribs for the navy and royal marines: wiring masts, consoles and other electrics as well as working on the engines and other marine systems

  • loads of new skills such as hands on skills like soldering

  • I enjoyed this programme lots because I received very good teaching

  • the organisation is well structured, there is never a time when I am not working or learning something new

  • you will receive lots of support from the employer and they will help you with any issues that you have

  • I had a meeting twice a week with my training provider to go through my progress and any issues I had

  • it helps a lot because I am using the skills that I learned in my job every day

  • there are social events and sports that you can get involved in easily

  • it is a great place to work with lots of good opportunities and you will receive a lot of training and help whenever you need it.

  • prepare well for the interview and learn basic knowledge of the trade that you wish to apply for before starting.
