This role includes both pre-sales and inside sales, we have experience of being both. At the end we get to choose which role prefer to work in. Overall, this apprenticeship is great as the staff and mentors are willing to help you become better in your craft, they also show support and guidance through out our apprenticeship.
yes, i have learnt a lot of new skills such as presenting skills, planning skills, time management skills, communication skills and many more skills that will take forever to mention. At HPE it is exciting to learn about their products and what they do and this also helps increase IT knowledge and also knowledge in how to sell etc.
words cannot describe how great this apprenticeship is, the senior people really value the apprentices and make sure they are doing well and are enjoying the apprenticeship program. The apprentices sometimes get to travel to different offices to meet other interns and apprentices. This helps our communication and networking skills.
it is structured well. There are different tasks that are given to us at the start of the apprenticeship which makes us familiar with the programs that are being used in the office, many training lessons, we are aligned with mentors and buddys that help us out whenever they can and much more.
we receive a lot of support at HPE. This includes help with presentations, knowledge on a specific product and the attitudes towards supporting us is great, it makes us feel that we are cared about and that we are always welcome to ask for help or guidance from others in the workplace.
we get a lot of fun training sessions every month where we are trained by doing role-play's, question handling, objection handling, learning about different acronyms and much more. Whenever we need help the training provider is always there to help us with anything even if it is very simple they are still there to help us succeed.
it has help me get better at sales, i used to work in retail so the sales procedure is very different to HPE sales procedures. It has taught me a lot such as how to handle pressure when on the phone to a customer and what great questions to ask the customer to get more useful information.
yes, we usually are invited to events and other activities which involve meeting people around England who also work for HPE. this is great for us as it helps us with communication skills and networking skills and so on. these activities are enjoyable and beneficial as we have a lot of fun whilst learning.
