  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well structured. We have an apprentice monthly meeting to all get together and share our experiences in our different projects and programmes. I get the chance to see several different portfolios (from customer to commercial to operations) which gives me the chance to network and expand my knowledge in these areas.

  • I get a lot of support from both my line manager (which is my manager throughout the whole apprenticeship) and my work manager (which changes every 6 months when I moved projects) I meet them both separately every 2 weeks to catch up on progress, if I need any help with supporting my learning as well as reviewing my objectives.

  • I feel I get a lot of support. I am reassured they are always there to support, whether that's through a skype conference or phone call. He comes to Waterside every month or so and we go through my academic work and then we meet as a group to go through this work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel the balance in academic work and work experience works really well. Once I completed my APM exam, I felt I put a lot of my knowledge into practise and understood a lot more in terms of project planning. This meant I could stay adding value to my team.

  • 9a. Would you recommend British Airways to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would definitely recommend working here to a friend because of the varied opportunities. A lot of colleagues I have met have been here for over 10 years which proves its an amazing company with endless job roles available. There are also opportunities to do secondments in different areas of the business. It's a very fast paced environment with lots going on so there is always something to do.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
  • To use all your experience to prove you can be a good candidate. Whether its a past job, any examples in education or hobbies, every example is vital. Also do research about the airline as we have many competitors so its important to prove why you want to work for BA in particular.
