  • During the last Few months in the Digital assets creation Team I pretty much have learned everything mentioned above so to start I've learned how to use the laser scanner and what preparation has to be done so writing out the Risk assessments and method statements and also planning the sequence on where to scan. then on arrival on site I learned how to use the equipment as well. the final step is how you merge the individual scan to create one. along side that Ive learned how to read and understand drawings and how the software.

  • I have my line manager assessable to me at all times as he operates in the same department as i do. we catch up informally on a daily basis we speak about what i have been doing and what's coming up. Also if i ever need anything i can just call skipton and then they can support me from there.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We have a monthly review with our training provider to see what we have been doing and what's coming ahead. We also upload write ups as part of our qualification and he reviews them when they are uploaded. apart from this we have a 12 weekly catch up and our line managers and get involved in this as well.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification helps me preform better as it has a criteria that we have to comply with to pass because of this it makes you aware of what you should be doing and what things you are missing out on. Doing the write ups also makes sure that you completely understand what your writing about.
