  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • This programme was organised in terms of having a meeting with the training manager who provided key week burst dates of which we will be attending training. this allows forward planning and also I was able to go ahead and work independently to meet the organised and apprenticeship requirements/ structure to complete my qualifications.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is extremely supportive in terms of allowing various activities such as participation within different training, being part of the team calls and emails from day 1 which allows equality and we are not treated differently just because im an apprentice. they are very understanding and provide any support when needed in relation to both on the job work (projects) but also anything I require for training/ my qualifications

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • the training provider at first was terrible as I had a skills coach who was unaware of expectations and wasn't trained well. However, as the apprenticeship developed I had a new person to communicate to within the training provider who was extremely helpful. A big thing which assists when meeting qualifications is the support of the provider to ensure your doing the right thing but also that your within the grade structure.

  • 9a. Would you recommend BT to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • its a very supportive company who not only assist any needs but are well known and also allow further career development and training which you could consider. it is an amazing starting step but also because your treated to well it could turn into a life time career with some members on my team completing their 30th year here.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • The applying process for BT was very difficult as it includes various stages such as an online application, then a case study which judges your opinion views as a person, then a video interview, then a project which needs to be completed and portrayed to a member of BT of how BT can make a difference, your then given random members of other applying for the same job in a team and thrown questions/ case study to complete but bare in mind you are individually assessed and then you have a one to one interview with a manager.
