Provide a service to end users in the comfort of their own homes. installing phone lines by running jumper wire from ther exchange all the way through to the pcp and finally the eu's home. Running drop wires and climbing poles. Driving to Jobs while keeping customers updated every step of the way.
I have learned a lot about the telecoms industry through my traineeship with openreach.
I enjoyed learning my new skills and putting them in to practise. it has been a life changing experience.
because of how many trainees join at one time you can feel like you are not getting the support you need and may feel like you are over looked. but all in all it was very structured considering the volume of trainee that start at the same time.
