  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • my role changes within the business every 6-9 months, through the scheme you get to take on, project management roles, procurement roles, risk management roles and other. through this it is first hand contact with customers and suppliers being the face of the company with real task every day in the company.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Joining into the business world it is hard to gain the confidence to be able to talk to certain people and it is good for gaining confidence within a business environment as it has enabled me with life skills such as communications, discipline and hardworking which I have seen benefit me through my schooling.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy traveling with work as you do get to travel to places with your manager. I do also enjoy being around the business environment and around a big team as there is so much support around. I also enjoy being trusted with key work which benefits the company and myself

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well structured as all placements are arranged for you but you also get the freedom to be able to change some around to be able to work within different areas of the company which you would normally not get to work if this was not able to change.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • During my placement the support has been nothing but good. I have recently found out I am dyslexic which they have provided loads of support within the work place but they have given me further support around university. Same for the university they have also given a lot of support .

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The university offers courses throughout the academic year where this is supported alongside the degree. This is anything from supporting with handwriting, writing an email but it is also extra courses where there is mental health courses and training which offers persona develop alongside academic learning all in the same environment.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have noticed a really benefit from doing my degree alongside working as I am able to use what I have learnt in the working environment and because it is fresh I am able to build on it. it also allows me to learn from other people at work by asking questions.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is tones of extra activities to partake in throughout the company as you can join the sports and social clubs which allows you to play multiple sports but also you can join the charity team which enables you to join different working groups to support the local community and area.

  • 9a. Would you recommend MBDA to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have recommend lots of friends because it is the best disicion I have ever made. it is good pay, good work experience and you are extremely well looked after which has defiantly enabled me to improve both personal and professional and it has also allowed me to save money at the same time.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MBDA?
  • Make sure you put 100% into the application as they will question every spelling mistake as they did with mine. Make sure you are honest and you know this is what you want to do because once you are within the company you never will want to look back as it will be a great decision you have made.
