  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • In all honesty the programme from the company in terms of learning on site has been great, and has allowed me to develop my engineering skills, to the point now where I feel comfortable in leading the engineering on a site. From a coursework point of view, this was poor in terms of changing of tutors, and also the lack of pressure to complete work, and the lax approach to the classroom sessions.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer was great in answering any queries that I had and had put forward, and also they buddied us up with a mentor and a senior engineer for who we can get a high amount of information from to help with work. they also set me up on various training programmes to continue my development.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • at the start of the scheme the support received was very poor, and we didn't seem to have any platform or structure to what needed completed and when it needed completing by. once we had a change of tutor halfway through, this gradually changed to the point where we knew what we were doing, and when, so that we were prepared to finish on time.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are opportunity to do this through the sport and social club, who put on monthly sessions in which all of the office and site are invited to. the reception staff also provide us with charity days that we can go to, and also lunchtime walks that can help to promote a healthy well-being when in the office.
