  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I'm am a team leader and my job role is to run a shift successfully and efficiently it requires great organisation great leadership skills and making sure we are all working together as a team to deliver the best possible service to our guests, I need to make sure I have enformed my team of where they need to be or any changes in the menu e.g things unavailable and making sure we are working together.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • This course really did make me more confident In my role and gave me lots of skills on how to manage a shift and communicate with my team properly and efficiently. I had never been involved in rotas before but the course asked me to learn how to do one and now I feel confident in looking at forecasts and planning a rota myself.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really did enjoy doing this programme and I really pushed myself and actually completed it months before my deadline, I was heavily pregnant working full time and have two small children aswell but my trainer was amazing I always felt so well supported and she was always just a phone call or email away if I needed any help

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I found this course very well organised and very well structured. It was very easy to follow my assessor would send me booklet by booklet and in between set me other little tasks, I never found it over whelming and I felt the time given to complete the course was very good

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I had all the support I needed from my employer when ever I needed help he would sit with me and talk through, I needed to be shown how to make a rota he sat with me for an hour and showed me exactly what I needed to do I always felt I was supported

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I cannot praise [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] enough, I've done a couple of courses and she was by far the best she was very efficient and organised always very positive always there to lend a hand, I felt fully supported and I have already recommended her and this course to other colleagues

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel the qualification I have gained through my training provider has helped me massively I've learned so much and I feel very proud of myself for doing it, it's helped with my confidence and helped me lead a shift so much better and has helped me deal with the guests in a much better way

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are not really any extra-curricular activity s for us to get involved in I work evenings and have children and so do alot of the others that work there, the team members with out children are quite social with each other and do on occasion go out for drinks with each other

  • 9a. Would you recommend Greene King to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Greene king to friends and family either for work or for a social event. The staff discount is great and when myself and my family decide to go for a meal we always take advantage of it and they have also signed up to the friends and family it's great


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Greene King?
  • Tips and advise I would give to others when applying to Greene king is to be confident and show your bubbly personality. Greene king look for bright and friendly people who can work well with a team and individually, the most important thing is to make sure you smile, a smile goes a long way
