  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is a graduate management trainee so I rotate multiple times around the business to gain exposure to different sectors and departments. My day to day role varies, but includes managing relationships with stakeholders, tracking both apprentices and graduates, releasing apprentice levy funds across the business and organising events.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt many new skills. The opportunity to learn whilst working at the same time has been invaluable. The classroom training courses I have received as part of my apprenticeship provide the opportunity to learn theory, skills and knowledge. I can then apply these skills in the workplace and embed the knowledge.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I am involved in networking events. • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I have been incredibly supported during my time at ENGIE, both with my apprenticeship and development. I have a really supportive and understanding manager with a positive outlook. There is a very good atmosphere, friendly staff and a good work life balance. We get 2 day volunteering leave each year.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Equans?
  • I would recommend anyone to apply to ENGIE. I would suggest to focus on ENGIE's behaviours, our values are important to the business and it is important that staff share these values.
