  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I’ve realised where I wasn’t managing my team well so I believe this course has helped me become s better leader. It’s helped me to see what is important in a managers roll it’s not just about leading by example but by allowing the team to decide what they thing is best and either agreeing or disagreeing.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find myself doing any work that has been set for me as soon as it’s set. I find that I talk to people at work about the things I’ve learnt and want to learn more. It’s been fun doing the exams (maths and English) as I haven’t done anythink like this since school.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I found that between me and my trainer we work our meetings and times well together, however my boss didn’t seem to understand the structure of this training. I believe the training structures should be run through with the managers of the business and this would make it easier for employees who are training.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Greeneking allowed me to do this course which I’m greatful for. However greeneking need to inform there mangers about the structure of the courses such of the cost of the course to there labour as this has been my only issue. I can’t always see my training in my work time as then I’m not working.

  • This will help me once I’ve finished my course and it will be evidence of the job I’ve been doing for last 7 years. I will even consider other training. It has so far given me the confidence to explore other departments in the company and I’m looking forward to another 7 year with greeneking.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Greene King to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • They help improve ur skills in the work place by offering extra training. They want there employees to move up the ladder. I’ve enjoyed working for them for the past couple of years. They pay well and always ask about feed back so you get to voice your opinion.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Greene King?
  • Ask about training for a higher role, be flexible and multi train. Be open to work all departments and remember there are plenty of greeneking pubs around the country so you can always have a job if you move. They give good discounts not only for the employees but for there family too.
