My role is serving customers food and drink, aswell as taking them payment and making the customers feel welcome, stocking up fridges and shelves, ice, crispy and nuts and making sure when the shift is over it’s ready for the next person to take over for there shift on the bar.
Yes I have, I’ve learnt new management skills how to put together a team meeting, making sure everyone turns up, different styles of table service. How many different gin’s there are. Also managing to recommend different products or different sizes to the customers e.g if there gonna have more than one glass of wine buy a bottle
I enjoy being able to do a business project meaning creating a night at the pub that can will be getting done and working alongside mangers and having support from them also. Aswell as having support from the trainer as she makes sure you have an understanding of what your doing.
It’s very well organised you know what time your meeting is if it’s on the phone and what time and when the next meeting is face to face. Your also told what your doing on the next meeting and what to have prepared for the meeting to discuss
Support from my employer is brilliant, any thing I need to do with the apprenticeship she helps, any days off I need for it, it’s accepted, there isn’t a bad word can say about the support of my employer, other than can’t wait for the next level
Plenty of support, get an email on notes on what needs to be done and if you not sure you can always ask for help in the right direction, especially if there’s words that not understood or one bit of of a paragraph that would need to be changed
I feel it’s made me more confident aswell as being able to understand management a bit more better, aswell as using your own mind instead of going to management unless really needed. Aswell as learning it makes you doing your job role better by looking it from a different view
