  • I worked in the Edinburgh office for the whole of my placement. I was responsible for my own areas of files and also involved in the coaching of other flying starts.

  • I have developed my technical capabilities over this placement by developing my analytical skills in excel. I have also developed my skills with other PwC resources like HALO and Envoy.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme as it gives an opportunity to apply knowledge that I have gained from university as well as gain experience in a working environment.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure is very good. I enjoy the fact we do not have a full year out on placement but it is broken up into separate placements as well as university time,.

  • I have a career coach and a flying start champion who offer support and advice throughout placement.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We receive support through payment for our exams and applying knowledge that we have learnt to real life audit situations.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that our qualification has helped me perform well in my role by offering guidance in how to perform better through reviews and coaching.

  • It is a very good course that sets you up well for post graduate life.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • I would say to be prepared for the interviews and admin days and stay calm throughout the process
