  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy some of the modules which i have completed so far. I didn't enjoy the 3 day work shop which i attended. I am not enjoying writing the assignments as i am finding these really challenging as it has been a number of years since i have been in education.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Well structured but i don't like the format of the QA site. I do not find this very user friendly at all. The structure and the lay out is really confusing. A number of dates have changed also. I believe the time management assignment should have been completed at a different time.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My line manager supports me with the activities, we have regular check ins on my progress with the workshop and assignment. But it is hard to complete the learning on top of our day to day role which i am finding challenging. All together the workload is too much all together.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Regular updates from my skills coach. He puts dial in's as check ins, also face to face meetings have been arranged. Whenever i have contacted him over the phone he has been available for support and i have also sent him work to be reviewed. I cant fault [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions].

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not that i am aware of that the bank has a team. I know that colleagues orginise there own events with friends etc but there is nothing that is supported by the bank as a whole which is a bit disappointing considering the size of the bank and the location of the site.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Santander to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because they are a loyal company to work for. They offer a number of benefits ti support work life balance, including flexible holiday, opportunity to buy and sell additional annual leave. They are a very social employer and have a very diverse workforce and encourage this also through the banks networks.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Santander?
  • You get out what you put in. There is great opportunity for self and career development. A lot of roles across the uk in a number of offices. They have a great management team who support colleague engagement and development. I have worked here for 19 year and never considered applying for another company.
