  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves HCM work at the moment, so what this compromises of is looking at the home office employee management system in its different stages of development, this system is an Oracle system so you also get alot of Oracle training in order to become proficient for this work

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a variety of new skills from my Time as an Accenture Apprentice, I did the 3 year course from level 3 to level 5 and achieved a foundation degree at the end, some of these new skills included SQL, Java, Web Application Development and a lot of coursework.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The first year with QA doing the level 3 was pretty straight forward apart from the Long 3 end of year projects we did at the end, i felt this could have been shortened to just one, the end of year project at level 4 was pretty stressful too although the units and coursework was ok if i am honest

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • As I was in the first ever year of London Apprentices, we were the "guinea pigs" so to speak, at times i felt the programme was pretty disorganized at times especially with some of the Units in Level 4, with full information not being provided, but apart from that the level 3 and level 5 years were ok

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We did receive alot of support from Accenture, however this was dependent on the project you were placed on, for example in my first 2 years at Accenture i was on the same project for 2 years, the project gave me a lot of time to complete coursework and revision, we also got "apprentice training" hours to complete work

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I felt that QA provided good support, although at times it was hard to get a response about the work in a timely fashion as tutors were most likely busy, but overall i feel like they did provide support as they always did respond in the end to any work related queries

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like the work and qualifications i have definitely help, for example in the first year of the project there was a Database sql unit, and in my first project there was alot of database and SQL work involved, so this definitely helped for an example, or HTML work etc.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are some extra curricular activities during work, for example, during my first project my team used to organize regular 5 a side team matches, i used to get involved, also in 2017 i did the work of work roadshow and the national apprenticeship show promoting the Accenture apprenticeship to school leavers

  • 9a. Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because its a great oppertunity to acheive Level 3-6 qualifications without having to pay university fees, also you get valuble work experience and still get paid a salary like a normal employee, so overall its great to have a company like accenture on your CV and once you complete the apprenticeship the salary is graduate salary and there is £2k bonus too

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • Be mindful that you must have passed GCSEs to do level 3 and a levels or equivalents to start at level 4, the course is also 3-4 years long depending on what you want to do so its not a short thing, also there is an assesment process to assess your skills when you join so be mindful of that
