  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Answering Calls and Dealing with customer requests.

    8/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my customer service and interpersonal skills as well as my ability to use Santander's programmes to service requests.

    8/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I wouldn't really say it's a question of enjoying as the programme as we rarely get opportunities to complete any apprenticeship work, but the role is amusing to a certain extent and is well paid - despite being paid less than non-apprentice colleagues despite doing the same work.

    6/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Little effort from Santander to arrange time in our shift pattern to complete work but BPP people are usually available and give good advice, just a shame we don't get time to follow through with it.

    6/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot in terms of the role; not a lot in terms of completing the apprenticeship - no time allocated for us!

    4/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Good support, frequent contact and opportunities to visit.

    7/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Not at all, I have the required skills already.

    3/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, football and occasional social events (namely the Christmas Party), though I don't get much time to engage in them due to other commitments.

    7/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Santander to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Good environment, supportive employer, fair wage, good incentives, would not recommend the apprenticeship though!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Santander?
  • Just be yourself; if you are true to yourself and don't get the role it's not meant for you so move on!
