My role contains testing computer software, investigating and raising bugs and defects within the tests, to ensure they work thoroughly before they enter a live environment, in the hands of the client. I also maintain current code
Before I started my apprenticeship with accenture i was not a technical person, however now i am able to code in java, html and also test systems using linux.
I love learning new things and enhancing my skills. The people are lovely and offer a lot of support, as well as the company its self, would highly recommend
I like the organised structure of the programme, whilst being in the work place 4 days a week and attending a university or college for the remaining day. It allows you to gain that extra work experience.
I recieve a tremendous amount of support from my employer whether it be work or home related. They always have our best interests at heart and want each of their employees to do well.
Just like my employer i recieved a tremendous amount of support during my time at the college, whether it be personal, work and college work, everybody is always there if you need someone to talk to.
I find the qualifications helps whether your in a technical role or non-technical role as either way you will still need to gain those skills. Being in a technical role it can really enhance your skills even more.
Accenture, have different activites that any employee can be apart of this includes: code clubs, external meet ups about specific topics, social gatherings, more of tthe creative side when it comes to specific periods of the year. I would highly recommend.
