  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On this apprenticeship it varies what you can do on a day to day purpose as there are so many different roles and departments within the business. Fridays are study days, for me i am at sunderland university studying towards my degree fridays, the other days I am in office within the salesforce department on a team.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since joining the scheme i have mainly learnt new skills as prior to this i had no knowledge within coding and software engineering, so i have learnt a lot of new skills such as java, c#, git, phyton, c++ which are all coding languages. I have also developed exisiting skills such as communication and team work since working with other apprentices and being in a team

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The start of the apprenticeship reffered too as bootcamp was very enjoyable being together as a group working and developing new skills, however soon after bootcamp ended we were meant to have roles however there was none which led me and other apprentices to be sat without a proper role in the business for a long time which was demotivating

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Most parts of the job are organised greatly like the university days and the travel provided to help us get to the university however the process of getting a role seemed very unorganised as there wasnt enough roles for the amount of apprentices taken on which led to us all on the bench not doing as much as you would assigned to a project

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There is always people there to turn to on the scheme as there is people that over see the apprentices and are free to talk at anytime you need. Also he university offers support if you are ever stuck. Another way the employer will supoort you is by giving you days to leave work to study towards assignments which allows you to not fall behind and have time to do work

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A lot of support as you recieve time and days to spend completing uni work towards the degree. This is rather good as it means if you are overwhelmed with uni work you have the option to spend time doing that rather than being forced to work which helps obtain the qualifications more properly

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification helps within the role as it features many things which means in some ways it will apply to everyone, the qualification mainly allows you to go into different areas if ever changing role. For example with the qualification I would be more confident in programming. However some parts of the degree dont apply to the role that much

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes at work there is lots of things going on such as sports clubs, thirsty thursdays, TAG social events and work night outs. There are lots of different things to get involved with at work such as coding club and many other societies. The only problem i would have is that some of the sports clubs are only in london

  • 9a. Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel accenture is a great way to start a full time job from education. There are many perks with working with accenture that come with the job and a free degree! which is amazing with the huge debt that comes with uni in this day and age. Another reason why id reccommend accentures apprentice scheme is that theres so many departmens that you can go into meaning the stuff you can learn is endless while being here

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • To have this job you dont need to be already technical, you just need to be open to learning, keen and passionate and that will help you get through and learn all the skills you need. So if not being programmer or a technical person already is putting you off apply anyways as you arent expected to already know how to do anything upon joining, the whole point is to learn
