  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Each day is spent being assigned new incidents. Once assigned an incident, we analysis the data to derermin the issue and possible causes. We then test data and coridinate with the user experiancing the issue to give them the soultion. If no soulution is found them a problem is raised for the incident and the icident is closed.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my understanding of Oracle SQL and ability to read JAVA script. The main areas I am able to develop are my problem solveing skills and data alaysis as this is what the role primarily includes. On top of this, my communication between multiple different teams and organisation has improved to ensure all work runs efficently

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Overall the appreniceship is a great experiance, every member of accenture is surportive will provide assistance when needed. The college is more all over the place but no one has fallen behind on due dates and while there is much that can be approved, its not awefull. The role it's self is complex and is hard to enjoy at the moment but that is due to te nature of the role rather than the work.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The weekly structure is generally set and works rather well. We work monday to thursday full time and attend college on a friday. This allows people working in other location to come back to newcastle only once a week and rather than multiple times. This weekly plan was well thought out.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • On a typical basis we dont recieve surport from our emplyeer and just get on with things however if surport is needed, whether we have asked for surport or they've noticed we need it. Support is abundantly accessable and availble to each indevidual. Accenture looks after they're apprentices.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The college, I have found, seems to be in a bit of a muddle when it comes to communication and therefore surport. It took them awhile to get me onto the autism surport. However, the staff are very willing to offer assistance and advice when asked. There's just a few things that need ironing out.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Not all subjects relate at all to my role. However, the roles apprentices can have at Accenture varies so it is likely to apply more to someone on a different role. We are learning alot of skills and gaining knowledge which is likely to assist us more in the future.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many goups, sociaties, events for us to get involved in. Everything tends to be open to everyone and not usually off limits to apprentices. That being said Apprentices dont always have the skill set/training to attend all events but they can go about obtaining the neccisary skills etc to attend.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • So far Accenture has been nothing but a great experiance and hass been full of opertunities. It's not perfect but its has much more to offer apprentices than most other places I have heard about. It offers a wide range of roles, training and experiance so you are never limited

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • Acceture looks for people who a keen and will give everything a good try. You dont need to have the top grades to get in. Accenture's asset is it's people and they put alot of time and effort into upskilling their apprentices. Have an interest and prove your deadicated.
