  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work within the Logistics sector, gaining knowledge an experience. I work closely with management to follow daily tasks and complete projects. I hepl out with the planning of our stock and many areas within the warehouse. I learnt a great deal during peak, trying new things and meeting new people.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learnt to use my own initative and strengthen my communication skills. I have also developed my decision making and dealing with different people. By having the support from everyone, its been easy to grow as a person and a staff memeber! I've been encoraged to try new things and gorw!

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love it! My team is amazing and the company give you so many experiences. The whole company and deparment i work in have been extremly friendly. Allowing me to learn new things and take my time with then new skills and processes. Everyone at AO cares for you and wants to help.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very, my course is weekly and my department always engage and give me things to do. My manager has been great allowing me the time to try newq things and areas within our logistics company. My college course is also organisaed issuing assignments and making lessons weekly and accessable for me.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Lots! they support me through my college course, projects and daily tasks. My manager is great giving me time to go and complett assignments in the best setting/area for me. The whole company has been so supportive, giving me meetings with a variety of people and staff to gain a better understanding of the company.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A lot, i had to do additional sessions and they happily helped and gave me time for my assignments. They give use fair warning wil assignments and allow us to time to produce them to the best standard. They also helped give me the sessions i missed, putting on 1-1 so i could catch up.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My course has helped lots in terms of supporting and leading people. Ive been able to learn the knowledge side on how to do things and how to be a great staff memeber and manager. I've now got the tools to go out and build up my career in the comapany.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • LOTS!!! There are always things to do. we have monthly calanders up with our events, they events can be work related, fun and games throughout the months or just general activities for us as individuals. we have out huge christmas work party every year that everyone looks forward to and enjoys.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They're amazing!! so supportive, friendly staff and always go the extra mile. Its basically a family!!!! Everyone within work cares for each other and their progress. if anyone has a problem they want to help to make it better for you. They give you so many opportunities to do well and grow.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AO?
  • Be yourself! Thats all they want, if you embody our values, youll fit in perfectly! Were a company that is continuing to grow and develop so want people that can keep up with that. Were a family and a team! Be yourself and try your besty, thats all we can ask from you!
