  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • In the first few weeks it was hard to find work but since then the programme has been very enjoyable and I have been busy. to make the first few weeks more enjoyable there could be a mock survey that all the civil apprentices could do and that gets checked by a system engineer.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme was very well organised with getting all our necessary training done as early as possible. The training that was done was very well structure in a clear and concise manner and was easy to take in and use at work. The necessary e learning that we had to do could have been made clearer.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We hold quarterly meetings with a person from gen2 and my line manager, this is a great help because it allows my line manager to know how my collage is going and it allows gen2 to know how I am doing at work. Also we can take what is learned in collage and apply it to work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • At the moment not very as its a broad spectrum of what we are learning but as it continues it will become more specific and thus more helpful to my work. This will start to happen in year 2 and will be more applicable to the work I will be doing.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It offers the opportunity to make a long and successful carrier, with good benefits and plenty days of holidays. It also gives you the chance to come out with a good qualification meaning you can progress in the world of engineering. For me personally it also allows me to stay close to home and the lake district.
