  • During the introductory boot camp month, I learnt the basics of new coding languages such as HTML, Python and Java. Studying for my degree I have completed modules in Java and network solution architecture. • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It has always been clear what the structure of our programme has been over the 3 years: working towards a degree at university, whilst having a role on live projects. The roles we take on varies depending on the project that you join and the area of the business that you’re working in. There are annual talent discussions where your career counselor presents the achievements you've made during your time, helping us to find a project/role suited to us.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • As an apprentice, there are many benefits. You’ll gain fantastic experience doing real work, earning a decent starting salary which progressively gets higher. After three years of classroom and on-the-job learning, you’ll have earned yourself a professional qualification in software engineering and possibly the chance of a full-time job. I believe they truly care about the welfare of their employees and try to make it a great experience.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • They look for people with great communication skills and an inquisitive mind, so provide evidence of this in your interview. It’s also important that you are able to work well as part a team and have a “can do” attitude, demonstrating this in previous work will make you look like a good candidate. Make sure you have a passion or a strong interest in technology, know examples and be able to talk about previous Accenture work.
