  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I was able to go around different departments in the law firm, including, Litigation, CAD, Banking and Commercial Property. Through this I wad able to become well informed about what each department does as well as being given interesting and helpful tasks to do such as research tasks and updating information about clients. I attended daily meetings in the mornings at which I was informed about the requirements for university if I wished to study law, as well as getting a better understanding on what a commercial law firm does and the processes involved in a legal dispute. I took part in group activities where we looked at example scenarios and through he information provided we were to give the appropriate advice to the 'client'.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Everybody was very friendly and very helpful throughout my experience and always provided help if was finding a particular task difficult. The work was very interesting however, at times I wasn't given enough work to do but I do appreciate that everybody is busy and due to the fact that I am not legally qualified I cannot always be given all tasks. I have become familiar with modern cases Overall, I enjoyed the experience a lot, I just wish that I could have been given more experience in other departments but there just wasn't enough time
