1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I create and test applications. These tests are done to ensure when a application is released it is very unlikey to break. I also aid in automation which makes these tests faster so the company can do more tests in a given day these automation tests are combined with manual testing to ensure the application works as intended.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt and developed many skills since my start date. I have developed my skills in Java, HTML and CSS. I have also learnt new languages such as Ruby and Python. I have also learnt JUnit testing as long with a few other miscellaneous pieces of software and tools

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is well structured in my option. As all the information you need is easily accessible and there are plenty of friendly people you can ask if you have any questions. From the beginning of the program i knew exactly what i was going to do as we have a one week introduction which fully explained everything. We also have a 8 week boot camp where started our degree and learnt alot of new skills

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a reasonable amount of support from my employer. Enough that i feel comfortable with what i am doing but not too much that i am not learning anything. Over all i feel that they have structured the support system really well. As well as having processes in place to allow you to easily reach out to get extra support if/when needed

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We get reasonable support from our training provider however not to the extent as me employer. They are happy to answer any questions/query's you have however they do take some time in doing so. However every one is very friendly and keep to help if you are struggling. I feel like a few more days a year of on-site training (at Aston) would be useful

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel it helps me preform better at my role really well as to date everything that they have taught me. I have been able to actively apply in my role at the company. They also give you access to tools which help you better understand the topics you are undertaking. As such you can use these tools to help refresh/remind you of how to do something correctly. Which makes applying what they teach really easy.

Over all i feel like the qualification they provide has helped me tremendously in my role
