  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a software developer working in RPA for capgemini. I bring in robotic automation to different work places to help speed up processes and to take away the human error of day to day activities. I work with in a large team and can be spread around the UK workin on different projects.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I started with no skills in development, and since i have been here i have learnt different programming languages such as Java, SQL, Python and Ruby whilst learning two different RPA tools such as UiPath and BluePrism. skills that i use on a day to day basis would include project planning, team networking and comunication.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it very much. It gives me a chance to travel and see different places whilst meeting new people and working on different projects so it keeps me interested. The skills I am learning are valuable to my career and will help me to progress further. learning and earning is always a bonus too.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is strcutured well. comunicsation between us and the traning provider could be better at times but in terms of the company i work fors team that is a link between us and our training provider they are great. you do have time tables that appear well in advance to let you know whats coming up for planning.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • my employer is fantastic. the management are flexible with your studies as they all want you to succeed. the team is accomodating to this aswell. you are given all the resources you need to go and acheive whatever you wish to acheive. they take away and blockers that you may find.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • if you contact them you recieve a lot of support. they are friendly and wish for you to succeed aswell, communication can sometimes not be the best, but you can rely on other members of the cohort to relay any important information if they think the rest of the team havent recieved it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • my degree will help me to progress throughout my career. it will act as a massive stepping stone and will open up many doors for me to progress through. it will give me access to roles that wouldnt be accesible without this qualification. I t will give me a full undertstading of my role and the different aspects and things that I could potentially do as a job.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • there are many different things that my employers offer, you can get involved in the gym there and be apart of that network, but social activities withoin the team are encouraged to build that team relationship. im sure there are many others but I cant quite think of any at this moment.

  • Yes

  • you feel a sense of pride being able to say you work for capgemini. it is a well renown company that achive great things globally. the management are fantastic, the people who work here are great and you are always encouraged to try new things and be the best you can be.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • stay persistent. you may not get in the first time doesnt mean you shouldnt apply the second time. the assessment centers are hard but are used to see where you best fit within the company, and your details stay on record. so if you are not lucky the first time just keep trying.
