  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy the work. I am constantly being exposed to various aspects of the construction process. The team is extremely welcoming and willing to answer any question I might have. I appreciate the company culture as it is very personal and I feel included and valuable. I very much enjoy coming to work and coming to site has exceeded all my expectations around how much I would enjoy it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • In terms of the company support and guidance it has been very good. Their buddy system is efficient and you meet them on the very first day of your employment so you don't feel lost. My mentor and the team have strongly helped my development and have continued to broaden my knowledge on construction.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I get lots of support from the management, on site and in regards to my college work. The learning and development team always assist with any arising issues within the apprenticeship and solve them to their best ability. My mentor is always there when I need them and provides me with enough work/advice to keep me occupied.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I struggle with the training provider of my course. It is a long way from my home so travel to and from there is challenging. The course content is not covered the best that it could be and there is a limited amount of support we can get as we are only in college one day a week. All in all, I do not feel that I enjoy the college as much as I feel I could.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I do not feel that the qualification I am doing through my training provider aids my role all that much. I believe that my role at work helps me complete my qualification. It puts everything into context and gives me a better understanding of what I should be learning through real- life examples.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Socially there are several things I can get involved with. The site I am on is involved in local community input such as college visits and events. On site we hold charity based events where money is given to local charities. Social events include Autumn/ Christmas parties and are very enjoyable.
