  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work directly with the Account Manager to help whenever any issues arise both from an operational point of view and a commercial point of view. I have also been given the opportunity to develop my own projects, and understand how these will bring great profit to the company or investigate whether they could constitute a substantial saving opportunity

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I've really enjoyed the programme and the range of tasks and responsibilities I have been assigned. Moreover, I have also enjoyed thhe fact that I have been allowed to make mistake and, whenever I was asked to make a decision, I have been given trust in the choices that I have made. I think this has been of great help in helping my development.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured and allowed me to choose any area and interest . It also allowed me to change radically my area of interest, whenever I felt that there was something new that I wanted to try. The organisation of it has improved radically over the past year and it is becoming greater and greater.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive all the support I need from my employer, who is always willing to help me apply what I've learnt in training to my work career. Moreover my employer also support me with additional training whenever they feel this is needed due to my career choices or because there is something extra that I would like to learn.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I received very little support from the training provided and they have been fairly awful with my year group, giving a number of misleading and different information. I'm not happy at all with their performance and it might be worth considering a different one for the future. Overall, considering the level of training and the poor planning, I hope that this training provided won't be chosen in the future

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Qualifications are important but given the quality of the training received and the many mistake made by the trainer provider, I don't feel that these qualifications will be of any help in my future career. The most important part of the training has been the one received on the job

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes I got involved in a number of activities, from social events to voluntary and corporate responsibility event and I really enjoyed all of them. Everyone I met within the company has always been very sociable and willing to organise and participate to a number of activities, without ever making me feel like an outsider.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Equans to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The company has helped me develop my skills and allowed me to grow professionally, without forgetting my personal needs and never putting the company needs first.. It has taken good care of me from day one and allowed me to grown and my my own choices. Overall, I'm very enthusiast of working for ENGIE

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Equans?
  • Get to know the people you work with as much as possible, as they will be your best asset and they might be able to help your career development or support you in your future careers choices. Never say no to opportunities, regardless of how dull the might seem, as you might get good learning from those.
