I am a Juniour Recruiter at AO An a Former Business admin apprentice, as a junior recuiter i recruit for our Warehouses and 8 SOuthern Deptos. My job is to make sure we have the right people in the right places and allow for out culture as a company to continue to grow.
I have learnt a lot of new skills since being with the company, i have ben taught how to recruit purely by the company. Also i have completetd variouse training courses to help me gain skills such as conflict managent and communication skills ETC
When i did my apprenticeship is was the great, more than i could of possibly wished for. The culture at ao and the people is what is so amazing about being a part of this programme
Everyday i know i am valued at AO, that is what our culture is all about. That is what makes us so different and such a great place to be a part of
From start to finish i knew where i was with my apprenticeship. We have dedicated mentors and people that are they to support us and keep us on track but as a whole everybiody who works for ao is a huge support network.
My training provider was great they have helped me complete to NVQs in under three years.
My Employer are a huge support network it doesnt matter where you work or what job you do we all support eachother
Throughout my apprenticeship the salary was great, with regular increases and i am still luckily enough recieving that now.
Yes so as an apprentice you are lucky enough to be a part of Duke of Edinburgh. I have completed my GOld award thanks to AO. We have lots of events outside of work all throughout the year and thats what is so great. Also i am a part of an iniiitiative called future talent which allows me to go out to schools and colleges and tell students about apprenticeships and ao as a company.
Yes
At AO you are a part of one huge family. Nobobdy is treated any different whether your a manager of an apprentice that doesnt matter the underlying fact is that we are all people with the same aim. Our culture and values makes us what are today and that is something special to be a part of.
Be yourself! we want real people with the drive to do well,The confidence to be bold enough to try new things. Also the ability to be smart enough to think on their feet and care about what ao is all about. Finally we look for people who want to have fun along the way/ Its all about out values and culture at ao and they are what we live and breath by.
