  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Everyone has good and dad days at work. I do feel as if there is days where I feel as if am chasing a paper bag in the wind. What I mean by this is that it often occurs that I am asking for jobs to do rather than being told what I need to do. However I do feel as if I am comfortable working with different people and never feel as if I am incapable of doing a task. it was hard coming into the site as I really did not know what to exspect. At first it was hard knowing who to talk to and where to go for things but now I do feel as I am more confident in myself and I am able to speak to the right people if and when I need help. Overall I would say I do enjoy my job. I feel as if I can constantly test myself and I always feel as if there is something to do or something to work towards.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by GSK?
  • hot/cold feelings. there is times where I do feel as if apprentices at GSK are highly thought of and it often occurs that people are intrigued by certain things we do as apprentices. Its clear the managers respect the apprentices but it often occurs that people do not fully understand the apprentice program so struggle with the aspect of a apprentice. as my apprenticeship has gone on I feel as if I have been valued even more. At first it wasn't easy as I feel as if I was lost and was counted as a head. But now I feel as if im involved in a lot more and I am given a lot more reasonability.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Badly. I feel as if my manager has worked extra so that I have a plan in place and I know where I am going and when. I feel as if there should be a set program that each apprentice has to follow rather than a make shift plan for each given line manager.

  • I feel as if there could be more support. the training provider seem to be eager to receive assignments but struggle when we ask for feed back. However when I email them asking for help they soon reply. they could be better but could be a lot worse.
