Software Engineer Apprentice, my role includes building and developing applications and programmes to aid companies.
I have improved a lot of my programming skills as well as developing new skills in the programming aspect of my role.
I enjoy the programme that I am part of very much. There is a wide variations of roles and teams that I can be part of which makes my experience with Accenture a whole lot more exciting.
I feel like I am yet to make a big difference to Accenture with my role being still an apprentice but once I qualify I feel certain that I will be viewed as an integral part of Accenture.
I would say that Accenture has a lot of experience with Apprenticeships and that the structure of the programme is one of the best in the market.
There is a lot of support from my training provider, if I feel uncertain about anything I know that they are just an ask away.
My employer ensures that I feel comfortable and equipped while I am working. They provide me with any equipment that I need to complete my job.
My salary meets the requirements of living, suitable for young people but not so much for those with families to support. My salary does improve with the progression of my apprenticeship which means that the hard work and contribution to the company makes a difference noticeably to your wage as well.
The company encourages work social events. Along with the opportunity to participate in events and charity events internally and external to the company.
Yes
I feel Accenture has so many opportunities to offer to their employees. The wage meets the demands of the role along with the ease of progression that you can make. The training that you receive and are available to is endless so you always feel that you are capable of improving at the expense of the company and not yourself.
While having experience in programming is not essential to joining Accenture, it would be wise to familiarise yourself with at least one language. Know which role you want to become when you are in a comfortable part of your life and strive for that, Accenture will ensure that they give you every opportunity to get there.
