  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job title at the firm is "Junior Associate" which is 1 grade below a graduate. I am very happy with my role in the firm and I feel I am able to take on responsibility for my own tasks and we are encouraged to do so. No one in the firm views you as a lesser employee than anyone else and there is scope to take on more work at all times as long as you ask. My network has grown massively from an internal perspective given we are able to rotate through different teams throughout the two years. My previous project was client facing so I have also been able to build networks there. I have had a great deal of responsibility since joining, managing employer accounts for clients of the firm and more recently working in risk management to improve the quality of our engagements.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I would definitely say that I have grown up and matured massively in the past year or so. The firm is supportive of learning and development with their own team dedicated to provided support and development opportunities to our people. There are plenty of materials to use for learning and scope to attend courses as tyou move up within the firm. The Apprenticeship runs alongside a professional qualification at level 4. I also feel a lot more confident in myself not and I am able to portray this in a professional environment. The learning curve is steep but very rewarding to see how far you have come.
