  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Currently I am working in MAP however I am usually placed in the sales. Often I help out the sales people in their campaigns as well as attending various meetings

  • I have developed my time management and organisation. I have learn skills such as first aid and PPE training.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • So far the program has been enjoyable. Tem culture can vary with some being very open while others having very tight knit groups.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Leonardo?
  • Depending on what I am doing it depends. With some tasks in sales I did feel valued as the work I was completing was going directly to a campaign while in my current role I feel less valued as the work that I am doing does not have a discernible impact.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • In general the programme runs well however it took six months for me to get an NVQ assesor

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The support at Leonardo is good

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As I had to relocate I am receiving a relocation allowence

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • As I have had to move from Cumbria for the role, my outgoings are generally higher than other apprentices. If it was not for the fact that my parents cover the costs of my car/car insurance I would not be able to continue my role at Leonardo due to high living costs.

  • I am a member of a gym and rowing club as well as taking part in numerous team events.

  • Yes

  • Good apprenticeship scheme and company benefits.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Leonardo?
  • Make sure that you can afford to live on the salary provided. Don't expect to know everything when you join.
