  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is similar to an intern. Daily tasks include interacting with the assigned team and depending on your placement level then you have different tasks assigned. A number of responsibilities include keeping your seniors up to date with your progress, talking to clients about the quality of the deliverables they have provided you with ( to complete the audit procedures at hand).

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Throughout my time here I was able to gain exemptions to my overall Charter Accounting qualification. PwC provided a very wide array of resources to help you succeed along with a very strong internal network that seek to help you to the best of their abilities. Additionally PwC internal system encourages the cultivation of your personal development by acquiring and providing feedback of your performance.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The work is challenging but what makes the work so enjoyable is the different amount of people that you get to work with. The different types of teams I have worked with so far have been a massively enjoyable experience. I have managed to meet my expectations through the quality of people that I have worked through the programme.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by PwC?
  • There has been recognition from managers and my seniors for the work that has been through several meetings and presentations speaking out about the hard work and contribution that was one from all of us.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured, there is an induction in place which outlines exactly what you will go through whilst you are in the programme. All the professors and teachers are always willing to help and support you with any questions. They provide you with all the material thats required to do well in your exams along with any revision sessions that are necessary for you to succeed. There are yearly and trimonthly support meeting.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My training provider has been of great support throughout my time here, she was always willing to listen to any problems that I have had wether it was about the course or the material. She would give the best approach I could do in my situation, with a concern and happy attitude that would make me feel at ease.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • All the managers I have worked with have been willing to help and support me whenever I had questions even when times were difficult and work needed to be done. The HR team helped wherever they could and at times of trouble they were really accommodating. If there was any issues I could always talk to my People Manager, as someone who is a senior she was able to help me go through the right channels.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Living costs take the most out my salary and the company provides a credit card for any travel and daily costs.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • The company provides a number of different events and activities every month which are made by the employees. There is a large community that care for each other.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because its a great experience, giving you an international passport to go in any industry in the world


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • To take things head on and not be afraid. To get involved with the activties the company has to offer.
